About this campaign
My name is Samy Abu Shawish, and I currently live in a severely damaged tent in Khan-Younis. We have no furniture, no proper sanitation facilities, and no winter supplies while the cold season is approaching. My income is extremely limited and barely covers basic food needs. On 8 April 2025, my brother was killed in the war, and I have taken full responsibility for his family—his wife and four children. I now support two families, in addition to my elderly parents who are both above 75 years old. We are nine people in total depending on me. Daily life is extremely difficult, and our living conditions are getting worse as winter approaches. Over the past two days I have been trying to upload the verification video, but the internet connection here is very weak. I was finally able to send it. Yesterday, during the heavy rain, our tent was damaged and partially collapsed. Water came inside, and our clothes and few belongings became completely wet.
