Our role
The Butterfly Effect Project is a volunteer-led mutual aid project. We organise public fundraiser information and link people to fundraisers hosted by independent platforms.
We do not receive or distribute donations or aid. Each fundraiser’s organiser and platform controls the payment process, fees, refunds, and its own terms.
What “featured” means
“Featured by BFEP” is an editorial directory label. It means the team chose to give the campaign additional visibility after review; it is not a financial guarantee, audit, certification, or promise about future events.
“Urgent medical needs” describes information supplied or observed during review. In humanitarian emergencies, circumstances can change rapidly, so visitors should read the current fundraiser before acting upon the information we provide.
Corrections and accountability
Families, organisers, and visitors have the right to request an information update at any time. We review requests against available evidence and update or remove records where appropriate.
External fundraiser links are controlled by third parties and may change without notice.
